Adam Balinsky
President & Chief Executive Officer
Adam Balinsky is the President and CEO of Fifth Season Investments. Prior to Fifth Season Investments, Adam was President and Co-founder of Fifth Season Financial LP and the Chapford Capital Group. Under the Chapford umbrella, over a ten year period, Adam was involved in raising and managing three separate life settlement funds and a managed account with AUM of approximately $360 million. Adam has been directly involved in the life settlement industry since 2003 and has actively managed billions of dollars of life settlement investments since 2007. From 2009 to 2012 he served as President of Caldwell Life Strategies Corporation, a Plainfield Asset Management portfolio company. Immediately prior he was Senior Vice President of Business Development and House Counsel for Caldwell. At its peak, the Caldwell portfolio had over $275 million of invested capital and in excess of $2.5 billion of net death benefit of life insurance policies.

Earlier in his career, Adam Practiced law for 11 years at Baker & McKenzie LLP where he became a Partner in 2005. He led and managed a multi-disciplinary team of lawyers in the structuring and implementation of complex cross-border life insurance settlement transactions representing fund initiators, lenders, trustees, life settlement providers and service providers. Adam graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce. He also holds a joint MBA/JD from the University of Toronto. He is admitted to the Law Society of Ontario and is a member of the American Bar Association.
